About Thrifty Trailblazer
The outdoors is one of the best deals there is, but gear lists, park fees and travel can make it feel expensive. We write plain-English guides to getting outside more for less, and safely.
What we do
We publish outdoor guides, a camping trip cost calculator, a buy-rent-or-borrow gear guide, the Trailblazer checklist and a free printable Outdoor Trip Planner. We send Trail Mix to people who sign up for it, and we're preparing the Trailblazer Trip Kit, a paid printable kit.
What we don't do
- We don't sell gear, trips or passes.
- We don't earn commissions from outdoor brands, retailers or booking sites.
- We don't publish sponsored gear reviews.
- We never sell or share your email address.
